7 tips to tackle your To-Do’s!

I’m frustrated!  I am having one of those days where I can’t stay focused and my life is suffering for it.  Ever have one of those?  LOL!  What do you do to stay focused? I’m sure you have a myriad of things on your to do list, just like me.  Here are my thoughts that have helped me in the past and I’m sure will help me now (I just need to go do them).

  1.  PRAY!  I find that when I’m frustrated, that I ALWAYS need to pray!  Talking to God calms me down and gives me perspective.  It reminds me that “this too shall pass” and asks the question, “what can I learn from this?”
  2. Write it down.  Grab your journal, planner, phone, or whatever and WRITE IT DOWN!  It helps to vent.  It also helps to list what needs to get accomplished today.  Deep breath…now it’s on paper.
  3. Eat something yummy.  That can be a healthy smoothie (I’ve included one of my favorite recipes below) OR some form of chocolate!  Either way, I think you’d be set for joy!
  4. Get your blood pumping.  Maybe go for a quick run, even if it’s around your house a few times.  Run up and down the stairs, go to the gym.  No pressure here, just something to get your heart rate up.
  5. Turn up the music.  Blare some motivating music through your house (“Fight Song” by Rachel Platten is highly recommended :))
  6. Crack open your essential oils.  Diffuse some peppermint to energize you and clear your brain fog.  It is amazing and everyone will comment how awesome your house smells!
  7. TACKLE it.  There is no reason to let it sit any longer.  You will still feel frustrated if you don’t just get it done.

I am confident that these 7 things (because 7 is our lucky number) will make you scream in HAPPINESS as you check off your list and deal with life.  Because let’s face it… we do HAVE to get it done, so we might as well try to be happy in the process.

Kit’s Pink Strawberry Smoothie

1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries

1 1/2 cups pineapple juice

1/2 cup orange juice

1 banana

1/2 cup greek yogurt (I prefer the honey flavor)

Blend for 2 minutes and enjoy!
