Am I enough?

Sheri Dew, author, speaker, and CEO, once said: “You didn’t come here to find your worth. You were born with it.”

Have you ever noticed how easy it is for us women to get down on ourselves? Yes, we’re bombarded by the constant message that we could be better, thinner, happier, more fulfilled – if only we would buy certain products.

But the message I want to bombard you with today is that you are enough.

You.

Are.

Enough.

Did you hear me? Let me repeat that again: You are enough. Yes, I’m talking to you. Exactly the way you are, hair pulled up, sitting in your sweats, wearing the T-shirt you slept in.

How do I know this, you ask? Easy. I just do. At the very least, you are somebody’s child. At the very most, you are a child of God. And somewhere in between are people who know you, love you, and who place great value on your importance to them.

If you ever have to ask yourself the question, “Am I enough?” The answer is always yes.

Always.

That whole Have-Courage-and-Be-Kind thing? Practice it on yourself. I want you to resolve this very moment that from here on out, you will be kinder to yourself. Gentler with yourself. More patient with yourself.

If you can do that, you will feel more connected to yourself. And when you’re more connected to yourself, you’ll be more comfortable with yourself. And when you’re more comfortable with yourself, you’ll know – without any doubt whatsoever – that indeed, you are enough.

And if you need that little extra time to really internalize that message, join us at our “From Chaos to Connection” Retreat in Park City, Utah this September. You won’t regret it!
